Nelsen Thompson Pegue & Thornton has more than 22 years experience in insurance coverage, bad faith, subrogation and insurance defense. We are adept in insurance policy interpretation and insurance recovery matters and have a proven track record advising and representing a number of large insurance companies. All of our attorneys are well versed in using Alternative Dispute Resolution, having participated in hundreds of mediations, binding arbitrations and settlement conferences. Members of the firm practice in all California Courts, U.S. District Courts and Courts of Appeal.
The firm's Insurance Coverage practice focuses on providing coverage analysis and advice; litigating insurance coverage disputes; including declaratory judgment actions, recovery actions, extra contractual defense, and error and omissions defense; and negotiating and settling coverage related claims. This includes matters involving homeowners, automobiles, commercial general liability (CGL), construction defect, recovery, multi-carrier, personal and advertising injury claims, intellectual property, and attorney fee disputes.
Our Bad Faith practice focuses on defense of matters which involve complex issues of law concerning policy interpretation. The cases are often matters of first impression in which we are called upon to litigate the coverage determination itself and ancillary theories.
NTPT’s Subrogation practice is primarily centered on recovery matters which range from construction defect litigation to entertainment claims. These practice areas are executed in a cost-efficient and expeditious manner due the firm’s special understanding of contract concepts, insurance concepts, and the full range of legal principles.
For decades, we have defended insureds under CGL, E&O, homeowners and auto policies in every type of suit covered by those policies. Our goal is provide comprehensive services with consistent communication for the most cost-effective price.
